The Dutch brewing concern Heineken NV plans to reach an agreement on the sale of Russian assets, estimated at a total of 475 million euros, in the second half of 2022. This is stated in the company’s financial statements for the second quarter.
Heineken at the end of March announced its decision to withdraw from Russia. She intended to transfer her Russian business to a new owner, in connection with which she expected write-offs in the amount of 400 million euros. However, based on the updated estimates, Heineken concluded that write-offs could be avoided.
Heineken net profit in April-June amounted to 1.27 billion euros compared to 1.03 billion euros received in the same period a year earlier. Analysts polled by FactSet had expected a net income of 1.11 billion euros.
Adjusted earnings, excluding one-off factors and amortization of intangible assets, jumped 40% to 1.33 billion euros.
